What makes a good tinder pick up line?
Forget long corny lines. Girls may chuckle, but they will also start to think of you as a dancing monkey. Your pickup line should be short, one or maybe two sentences at most. And paradoxically, it should not come off as a “pickup line”. Instead, it should come off as a playful conversation starter that makes her curious and elicits a response.
Lets take a look at some examples below. These have all extensively been tried & tested to have a high success rate

1) “Hey (insert girls name), i’m curious about something”
This opener has the highest response rate out everything we have tested. The reason it works so well is because it invokes a lot of curiosity on the girls part. She thinks “oh what is he curious about” and is thus compelled to respond.
The key with this opener though is to have a good follow up. You don’t wanna just follow this up with “what do you do for fun” or something boring. A standard follow up text we had a lot of success with was “how do you look so innocent, yet full of trouble at the same time”. Here is an example
2) “Your dad would absolutely hate me” – Believe it or not, this opener also works really well. It creates intrigue, because the girl starts wondering “why would my dad hate him” and thus responds. It is also quite polarizing, which is a must when it comes to dating apps in 2025. There are too many guys messaging the girls the same old crap, you need to stand out. Examples below

3) “I see we both have good taste” – this one doesn’t invoke nearly as much curiosity so the response rate will be a bit lower, but it is more versatile. Another advantage with this one, is that it invokes the “we frame”, which is a powerful texting technique, where you talk about you and the girl as one unit.
Girls will commonly respond by saying “haha yes we do” and from there you can really go in any direction. Here are some examples of this pickup line in action
4) “Your profile is the greenest flag I’ve seen in a while” – this is similar in concept to the previous one. It is relatively safe and easy for the girl to respond to. However, this one also is going to invoke her curiosity a bit as she wonders “what did he like about my profile” so the response rate will be very solid
That being said, it is important that you have a good follow up ready, when she asks you why. You can respond either with a serious answer about a few things you liked about her profile, humor, or a combination of both. The latter would be my personal choice. 5) “Hey wanna steal my comfiest hoodie” – All in all, this might be my favorite pickup line. Its great for a variety of reasons. First, it shows you understand women. A common inside joke amongst girls is that after they hook up with a guy, they “borrow” his shirts or hoodies. This opener shows that you understand that.
Secondly, it is very playful and creates a fun & flirty dynamic. And lastly, it subtly sets the frame that she’s ultimately gonna be going to your place. After all, how else would she get your hoodie. Overall, I’ve had really good success with this line. Here are some examples.

Conclusion
Most of the pickup lines you will see online suck. They are too long winded and cheesy. You don’t want to though go to the other extreme and just open the girl with “hey whats up”. Instead, use these pickup lines which provide a good balance and have been tested to have a high response rate.
